Date

The name of the website says it all. Date is a very popular online dating website sporting over 2 million members! At the time of this review, 11am on a Wednesday (when most people are working), there are nearly four thousand members online.

Date’s popularity is it’s main drawing card but that is equally matched by how easy the site is to navigate. Once you’ve signed up and created your profile, you’ll find your homepage. It’s simple and easy to navigate. Date gives you the tools necessary for finding success in online love. They post a nice, big alert box in the top right hand corner of your homepage. This box allows you to monitor who’s looking at you, who’s IMing you and sending you messages, as well as keeping you up to date on the number of new sign ups at Date. I find that particularly useful.

Your profile is obviously the most important part of any online dating website and Date is no exception. There’s a wealth of information that you’re allowed to post in your profile. So much, that the website gives you constant updates on the status of your profile with a progress bar right on the homepage.

Another unique and well put together aspect of Date is their advice section of the website called Date Info. Here you can browse articles by categories like success stories, dating advice, horoscopes, dating 101, how to attract women in bars, and more. All of this great information at zero cost!

If you decide to upgrade to Date’s premium service, you’ll be able to email and IM other singles that you’re interested in. Free members are subjected to ‘showing interest’ which is essentially a flirt. You also receive the highest priority in searches for subscribing to Date. Last but not least, you can record audio and video messages for other singles to see and listen to as a premium member.

Although Date does not have one unqiue quality vs other online dating websites, the total package is here and it’s well put together. From popularity to profiles, matches to messaging, Date has their act together and they’d love to perform for you!
