Of all the online dating websites I’ve reviewed at Real Dating Reviews, ALT certainly gets the award for “most original”. Really. You can’t find websites like this under the normal realm of online dating. For ALT, you need to take a walk on the wild side.

ALT is a member of the Friend Finder network and as such, the website is nearly identical to the other big Friend Finder dating websites. One of the most annoying aspects to finding love online is filling out 300 different profiles that are all built differently and getting your feet wet with so many different dating site designs. If you’ve been to Friend Finder, ALT will be a breeze.

What I Love about ALT:

• Free perks. Being able to use ALT’s chat and instant message programs at no cost is definitely a plus.
• I love that they leave no stone unturned when it comes to alternative lifestyles and activities. This is certainly not your everyday online dating website, and I like that.
• Social technology. Not many sites will allow singles to trade AIM, ICQ, and YIM information. ALT promotes it as part of their premium service.

What I Hate About ALT:

• The ads on ALT are slightly annoying. I don’t mind ads, but flashy “click here” signs tend to get in the way.
